Watson's

Watson's Shack and Rail is a fun Champaign-Urbana restaurant. They specialize in chicken of all varieties, particularly fried chicken. One thing I like about Watson's is their late night menu. There have been several times where I have wanted dinner at a time when most restarants are closed, but Watson's still has a lot of their menu items until 2 a.m! Here are my reccomendation's for Watson's Shack and Rail:

• Gravy Fries: This Southern take on poutine has everything delicious: fries, salty brown gravy, and large pieces of white cheese. You get a generous portion, so I smetimes have this as a meal or split it as a snack/appetizer.


• Fried Chicken Sandwich: I love a good crispy chicken on bread. The fried chicken sandwich is what I almost always order at Watson's, becuase they just do it so well. I can't really choose between their regular chicken or their Nashville hot chicken as being superior, it really depends on my mood. But I can garuntee both are delicious and you really can't go wrong with this huge chicken sandwich.


• Tofu Po' Boy: If you are a non-meat eater, or just looking for something a little lighter, the crispy tofu po' boy is a really good option! I like to try restaurants meatless options when I can, and this tofu sandwich is a very solid option. The sauce that comes on it is creamy and spicy, and the tofu is so crispy it really feels like a crispy shrmip po' bo in your mouth.
